At their board meeting on 30th November 2017, it was decided that the Japan P&I Club will not impose any General Increase on the Advance Calls for 2018 renewal. Entries will be reviewed and adjusted as necessary depending on their claims performance, and also depending on changes in the GXL costs. The 2018 Supplementary call is set at 40%.

In addition, the Supplementary Call for 2016 Policy Year is reduced from 40% down to 10%. 2014 Policy Year is closed without calling the 20% estimated Supplementary Call, whilst Supplementary call for 2015 can be budgeted at 0% after the 30% levied in 2016.

With reference to Charterers Liability and FD&D classes, no General Increase is imposed for 2018 renewal.

The Release calls are confirmed as follows:

2015: 5%

2016: 15%

2017: 45%

2018: 45%
