Hong Kong, 3 July 2017– Latitude Brokers, the Asia based marine insurance specialist, has opened a liaison office in Seoul, Korea.

Latitude’s office in Seoul will be their third in Asia, having opened in Hong Kong and Singapore in 2014 and 2016 respectively.

Latitude Korea Ltd is wholly owned by Latitude Brokers Ltd and will be run by Mr SW Kim who was previously with Marsh Korea, Hanjin Shipping and most recently SIS Co., Ltd.

SW Kim, Managing Director, said “We are very pleased to have received approval to open our office and I am looking forward to further expanding the Latitude brand in the Korean market”.

Mr Nick Park, who has held roles at Heung-A Shipping, Aon Korea and Hanjin Shipping, recently joined Latitude’s Singapore operation and will be working closely with SW Kim to drive the expansion of Latitude’s Korean portfolio.

In addition, Tom Fulford-Smith, Founding Partner, will be moving to Latitude’s Singapore office in August. Fulford-Smith will join Charles D’Alton, taking the office there to six staff, reflecting the growth of Latitude’s business in South East Asia.
